Acute myeloid leukemia is the most common leukemia and is rapidly growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Blood cells in the body is composed of platelets is called white and red blood cells. Those with AML do not have enough white or red blood cells and abnormal cells, which instead has increased rapidly as the disease progresses.
